NRBSC User Resources

We provide bioinformatics support on several PSC systems. We provide excellent consulting as part of the Service mission.

anton
Anton is a special-purpose supercomputer for molecular dynamics simulation designed by D. E. Shaw Research (DESRES). NRBSC is hosting a 512-node Anton machine made available without cost by DESRES for non-commercial research use. Funding for the project is provided by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences at the NIH under grant RC2GM093307. Computer time on Anton was awarded in September 2010 by a review committee convened by the National Research Council. No further applications for time on Anton will be accepted at this time.
